About us

Corporate Philosophy

Hamer Bank Consulting is dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of comunity banks throughout the country.  The importance of community banking to the economy in general has been well documented.  My ultimate goal is to assist you in achieving your strategic objectives and to enhance your competitive advantage.

I believe that engaging a strategic partner not only adds value but provides additional critical resources that assists in moving an organization's initiatives forward.

Value Proposition

I believe that one-size-fits-all consulting solutions are not in the best interest of most banking institutions.  My approach is tailored to your specific needs and situation.  ai will work with you during the initial process to correctly determine the scope of work necessary and the desired result.

A significant added value to my approach is the depth of knowledge and understanding of how one or two issues may have expanded implications.  Having experience in all facets of community banking and a solid grasp on how they interrelate provides an advantage in effectively assessing and resolving the fundamental issues faced by banking institutions.

Flexible Approach

Having served as president & CEO of a community bank, I am acutely aware of the financial constraints that abound in today's environment.  In order to help control cost and to provide a sense of economic certainty, we prefer to operate on a project basis.  The scope of the project along with the desired results are determined in advance.  The cost of the project is negotiated taking into consideration the size and complexity of the engaging bank along with its financial capabilities.   While we believe that billing on a project basis is the best way to control costs, hour billing is available if preferred.

We welcome the opportunity to discuss your current strategic opportunities and challenges.  There is never any cost or obligation during our discovery stage.  I often travel throughout the Midwest visiting community banks and would gladly schedule a meeting with you and your management team to discuss your most pressing concerns.
